Rockin' The Rampart

A group of us decided to pay a little money and walk on the ramparts that surround the city. It was such a great decision!! I got to see awesome parts of the city that I had never seen before as well as more common sights but from completely different angles.

The group I went with

A little look at West Jerusalem

It feels a little bit like a castle when you're up there!

This is actually supposed to be of the BYU Jerusalem Center in the back not the Dome of the Rock for once. It just happened to be there as well.

We came around a corner and just like that we were in a different country! The grass was at least as high as my knee! You don't see just fields of open grass here. Every little inch is covered in either roads or buildings. It was a sight for sore eyes.

And we're back in Israel.

The awesome staircase that was only slightly sketchy. Not sure how they made that climb before. They must have had an awesome vertical jump.

We found this dark staircase so naturally we explored. It ended up being a really cool room that was inside the wall.

  1. Naturally; I go up dark staircases into dark rooms hidden in the wall in foreign countries all the time! Was that like the wall surrounding the city you were walking on?

  2. Ya! So that is the wall around the Old City. You would be surprised at how much you start exploring when you're not afraid of getting in trouble all the time!
