Gallipoli and Troy

We made a quick stop at the Gallipoli battle site. This is where the Australians landed and made a famous attack during World War I. Although they lost the battle at Gallipoli, the Australians still celebrate this as a show of their young men's bravery. The Turkish ruler made a nice monument for them at this site. We got to hear the story from Sis. Strathearne-one of our religion teachers from Australia. It was a very neat experience.

Later that day we went to Troy. We didn't have very much time because the park was closing earlier than planned. After a speed walk through the park, we had just a few minutes to play in the Trojan Horse.

Until my next adventure,
Lindy
