Miracles

The majority of Jesus' ministry was in the Galilee. This also means that the majority of his miracles were there. While the places of all are not mentioned, we do know some. The first place we visited was Tabgha. This is where the feeding of the 5,000 took place.

Mosaic commemorating the 5 loaves and 2 fishes.

They also had a mosaic of a scene from the Nile. I know you can't see the details very good but it was amazing! There were all sorts of animals and wildlife.

Our next stop was Capernaum. So many miracles happened here! I was way excited for this stop. We didn't get to walk through the streets which I was super bummed about but it was still amazing.

This is the remains of Peter's house. There has been church after church built over it which is why they are so sure it was his house.

The houses and streets of Capernaum.

So many things happened in these streets. The centurion's servant was healed, a man with palsy was forgiven and healed, devils were cast out, he called Matthew to discipleship, he raised Jairus' daughter from the dead, the woman with the issue of blood was healed, and the list goes on. It was humbling to sit in those streets and think of all the ways the Savior has healed me. They may not seem miraculous to anyone else but Jesus has performed many miracles in my life.

Until my next adventure,
Lindy
